Chainsaw Carved Black Ledge Bear – 15”

This black bear is carved laying down with its feet hanging over the edge, made for higher spots where it can look down a bit. It measures about 15 inches long, 8 inches tall, and 9 inches wide. These always look best on mantels, shelves, or any raised area.

It’s carved from heart-free Western Red Cedar or Giant Sequoia Redwood reclaimed from tree work along the Oregon Coast. Using the outer part of the log helps avoid the deeper center cracks as it dries. The bear is painted black and sealed with spar urethane, so you can keep it indoors or outside.
