Thank you for shopping with Northwest Woodcarvers. We specialize in handcrafted products made from real, solid wood. Please read this policy carefully before making a purchase.
1. Final Sale Nature of Wood Products
Due to the handcrafted and natural nature of our products, all sales are final unless an item arrives damaged during shipping or there is a clear manufacturing error that does not match the product description.
Our products are:

Made from natural solid wood
As a result, we do not accept returns or refunds based on personal preference.
2. Natural Characteristics of Wood (Not Defects)
Our products are crafted from real, solid wood, and natural variation is part of what makes each piece unique.
The following are normal, expected characteristics of wood and are not considered defects, and therefore do not automatically qualify for refunds or returns:

Natural cracks, checks, or splits

Knots, voids, or character marks

Variations in color, grain pattern, or texture

Minor movement, warping, or checking due to changes in temperature or humidity

Slight differences in shape, thickness, or dimensions
-
Tool marks or signs of hand craftsmanship
Photos are representative examples. Each piece will vary.
By purchasing from us, you acknowledge and accept these natural characteristics as part of owning a solid wood product.
3. Optional Exchanges for Natural Features (Case-by-Case)
We understand that sometimes a natural feature (such as color variation, a crack, knot, or grain pattern) may not meet your personal preference.
In select cases, and at our sole discretion, we may approve an exchange for a different piece.
If an exchange is approved:

The customer is responsible for all return shipping costs

The customer is responsible for shipping costs for the replacement item
-
The original item must be returned unused, undamaged, and in original condition
-
Work on the replacement item will begin only after the original item is received
-
Processing time for exchanged items is typically 2–4 weeks, as each replacement is carved to order
-
Shipping fees are non-refundable
Exchanges are not guaranteed and are evaluated case-by-case.
4. Damaged Items (Shipping Damage Only)
If your item arrives damaged during shipping, you must notify us within 7 days of delivery.
To be eligible for a replacement or refund due to shipping damage:

Contact us within 7 days of delivery

Provide clear photos of:

The damaged item
-
All packaging materials
-
The shipping box and label
-
Failure to report damage within this timeframe may void eligibility.
If approved, we will either:

Replace the item (if available), or

Issue a refund at our discretion
5. Non-Refundable Situations
Refunds, returns, or exchanges will not be issued for:

Natural wood characteristics described above

Buyer’s remorse or change of mind

Appearance differences inherent to wood

Improper installation or mounting

Damage occurring after delivery

Failure to follow care or installation instructions

Orders returned without prior authorization
6. Cancellations
Orders may be canceled only before production or shipping begins.
Once an order has entered production or has shipped, it cannot be canceled or refunded.
7. Refund Processing (If Approved)
If a refund is approved:

Refunds are issued to the original payment method

Shipping costs are non-refundable

Processing time depends on your payment provider
