14” Wood-Carved Bear for Railing, Shelf, Mantel

This black bear is carved to lay across a ledge, shelf, or mantel with one front leg and one back leg hanging down the front. It measures approximately 14 inches long, 9 inches tall, and 7 inches wide. 

Made from heart-free Western Red Cedar or Giant Sequoia Redwood. The wood is urban salvaged and responsibly collected. Cedar and redwood are known for their durability and natural weather resistance, which helps the carving hold up well whether kept indoors or near outdoor areas. Heart-free wood reduces the deep cracking that can appear in center-cut carvings. The bear is finished with black paint and 3 coats of oil-based spar urethane.
