10” Hanging-Paws Ledge Bear – Giant Sequoia Redwood

This is a small brown ledge bear carved from Giant Sequoia Redwood, made to lay on the edge of a shelf or mantel with its front paws hanging over. It measures about 10” long, 8” wide, and 6” tall. These look the best in elevated spots where the bear can lean over and “peek” down a bit.

It’s carved from heart-free redwood reclaimed from local tree work. Using the outer part of the log helps the carving dry more evenly and keeps the bigger cracks away. Finished with spar urethane so it can be displayed indoors or outside.
