Carved Black Bear Sitting 20''

This sitting black bear measures about 20 inches tall, 11 inches wide, and 9 inches deep.

Carved from heart-free Western Red Cedar or Giant Sequoia Redwood reclaimed from local logs. Using heart-free wood avoids the center of the tree where most deep cracking starts, so the carving stays more stable over time. Both woods naturally resist rot and hold up well outdoors. The bear is painted black before sealing. Finished with 3 coats of oil-based spar urethane for indoor or outdoor display.
