Hand carved from heart-free Ponderosa pine reclaimed from local tree removals in Oregon. Heart-free wood excludes the center of the log, where deep cracking most often begins, helping provide better long-term stability. The bear is hand painted black and finished with three coats of oil-based spar urethane for indoor or outdoor display.
